XIII NORTHERN CHARACTER INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

Filmmakers and TV-journalists from the whole Barents Region are invited to participate and submit their works within September, 15 2021.

Short Fiction (up to 30 min),

Full-length Fiction.

The theme of the 2021 festival will be People in the North. Participants and guests of the film forum are invited to reflect on how people live in the Far North, what inspires them to love, work and creativity, how they see their future and the lives of their children.

“We are very pleased to announce that we are launching the new Northern Character festival. The COVID-19 pandemic has already forced us to make adjustments, abandon the usual forms, and sometimes set us difficult tasks. But it made us stronger and proved that there is always a way out, and if one door closes, then a new one is sure to open. Let's move on! ”- says the president of the film festival Svetlana Soldatova.

The mission of the festival is to unite the journalists and filmmakers of the Nordic countries, to tell about the life of people in the Far North, about the prospects for the development and careful use of the Arctic territories, to enable the authors of TV programs and films to expand the audience.
